My recommendations should be based on more than assumptions. That is why, where appropriate, I use targeted diagnostic testing — including tests that may not routinely be part of standard GP or oncology care.

My work combines Functional Medicine and Ayurveda. Functional Medicine draws on biochemistry, immunology, toxicology, and advanced laboratory testing to explore possible underlying causes and connections. Ayurveda adds a different perspective as a medical system in its own right, with an individual approach to constitution, digestion and metabolism, nutrition, and lifestyle.
I bring these two perspectives together to create an individual treatment plan that may include diagnostic testing, nutrition and lifestyle, micronutrients, phytotherapy, and Ayurvedic treatments.
Benefit — Targeted blood testing can give me a clearer picture of your hormone and micronutrient status, thyroid function, inflammatory markers, and blood sugar regulation. It can help identify imbalances and metabolic changes and show us where targeted support may be useful.
When It Can Be Useful — as a baseline before starting a support program, to monitor changes over time, or when symptoms need further investigation.
Benefit — Your gut microbiome is involved in far more than digestion. It interacts with immune function and metabolism and, through the so-called estrobolome, can also influence how estrogens are metabolized and excreted. Targeted testing can help identify imbalances in the gut microbiome and guide an individual approach to supporting gut health.
When It Can Be Useful — for recurring digestive symptoms, suspected food intolerances, or when gut health may be relevant to your overall symptoms and hormonal situation.
There is no standard, one-size-fits-all booking slot for a stool test with me. We determine the scope together during your consultation, tailored to your situation.
Benefit — BIA provides a detailed analysis of your body composition, including muscle, fat, and body water — and allows us to track how these change over time. One particularly useful measure is the phase angle, which is associated with cell membrane integrity, body cell mass, and nutritional status. Together with changes in muscle mass and body composition, it can help me identify muscle loss and other relevant changes early and tailor recommendations for nutrition and strength training accordingly.
When It Can Be Useful — as a baseline at the start of a support program and at regular intervals afterwards to track changes over time — for example, whether you are maintaining or building muscle mass during endocrine therapy.
Benefit — HRV analysis provides insight into how your autonomic nervous system is responding to stress and recovery. By looking at heart rate variability and other parameters, I can assess patterns in autonomic regulation and how these change over time. This can be particularly useful when we are working on stress, sleep, and recovery.
When It Can Be Useful — if you are feeling exhausted, under prolonged stress, or not recovering well, and to track how your autonomic regulation changes over time. The results can also help guide individual strategies for stress and sleep regulation, such as targeted breathing exercises.
Benefit — Lab results and measurements are only part of the picture. They do not tell me how you feel, what your everyday life looks like, or what is affecting you most right now. That is why I take the time to understand your health history, current situation, symptoms, lifestyle, and what you want support with. Bringing this together with relevant diagnostic findings allows me to tailor my recommendations to you and your individual situation.
When It Can Be Useful — at the beginning of every support program and whenever there is a significant change in your health, treatment, or symptoms.
