My work combines well-established, scientifically studied measures with selected complementary and Ayurvedic approaches. I choose the methods that are appropriate for your symptoms, your current treatment, and your individual needs.
Which components I recommend depends on your symptoms, current treatment, medications, and — where relevant — your laboratory results. During cancer treatment in particular, I carefully check complementary approaches for possible interactions and contraindications.

How I Use It — Nutrition, sleep, and stress regulation are fundamental to my approach. Depending on your situation, we may focus on supporting your metabolism, improving sleep, creating more stability in everyday life, or finding practical ways to manage treatment-related symptoms. This is not about following a special “cancer diet”, but about making changes that fit your health, your treatment, and your everyday life.
What Matters to Me — Nutrition and lifestyle can support you during cancer treatment, but they cannot replace it. Claims that individual foods or specific diets can “starve” a tumor or treat cancer are not supported by scientific evidence.
How I Use It — Exercise and strength training are among the most important components of complementary care. Depending on your situation, the focus may be on maintaining or rebuilding muscle mass and strength, providing the right stimulus for bone health, reducing joint pain, or managing fatigue. Together, we look at the type and intensity of exercise that is appropriate for your current treatment, physical condition, and individual needs.
What Matters to Me — This is not about athletic performance. During and after cancer treatment in particular, exercise needs to be adapted to the individual — for example in the presence of fatigue, neuropathy, reduced bone density, or following surgery. At the same time, exercise is one of the complementary approaches with particularly strong evidence in cancer care.
How I Use It — Phytotherapy can be a useful option for certain symptoms. What matters to me is whether there is evidence of benefit for the specific indication — for example for sleep problems, digestive symptoms, or certain menopausal symptoms — and whether the chosen product can be used safely in your individual situation.
What Matters to Me — “Natural” does not automatically mean safe. During breast cancer treatment in particular, I carefully check for possible interactions and contraindications. This includes hormonally active substances as well as plant compounds that can affect enzymes involved in drug metabolism. Something that may be appropriate in other circumstances is not necessarily appropriate during cancer treatment.
How I Use It — I use micronutrients selectively rather than routinely. Where reliable laboratory markers are available, I use them to identify deficiencies and tailor supplementation accordingly. Not every nutrient, however, can be meaningfully assessed through a single blood test. That is why I also take your diet, medications, symptoms, and current treatment into account.
What Matters to Me — More is not always better — particularly during cancer treatment. Higher doses are not automatically beneficial, and some supplements can interact with medications or may not be appropriate during certain phases of treatment.
How I Use It — Digestive symptoms can have a significant impact on nutrition, quality of life, and overall well-being — including during and after cancer treatment. Depending on your symptoms, I work with nutrition, fibre, and other targeted approaches. When appropriate, stool testing can provide additional information about digestive function, the intestinal lining, and the gut microbiome, helping me tailor your treatment more precisely.
What Matters to Me — Not every abnormal finding on a microbiome test is clinically relevant or needs to be treated. I therefore interpret stool test results in the context of your symptoms, diet, medications, and current treatment rather than looking at individual values in isolation.
How I Use It — Touch, warmth, and oil are an important part of my Ayurvedic work. Ayurvedic oil treatments can help you relax deeply, support recovery, and improve physical well-being. Many of my patients tell me they feel noticeably calmer after a massage and sleep particularly well that night. The warm oils also nourish and moisturise the skin, which can be especially soothing when it feels dry or sensitive.
What Matters to Me — Ayurvedic treatments are always adapted to your individual situation. After surgery, with lymphedema or skin reactions, or during certain phases of treatment, I adjust the technique, intensity, and areas treated accordingly. If a massage is not appropriate at that time, I will not perform it.
