Complementary medicine can be a valuable addition to your cancer treatment. For a number of complementary approaches, there is now good scientific grounding and concrete recommendations in oncology guidelines — especially for preventing and easing the side effects of cancer therapy.
My goal is to support you individually and to integrate complementary methods into your treatment in a way that can improve your well-being and ease side effects. I always take your current cancer treatment into account, making sure my recommendations are compatible with it and checking for possible interactions or contraindications. If appropriate, and with your consent, I can also coordinate directly with your treatment team.
Together, we carefully consider which complementary approaches are supported by current evidence and which are appropriate for your individual situation.

Endocrine therapy often continues for many years — and its effects can go far beyond hot flashes and joint pain. Sleep, mucous membranes, bone health, muscle mass, and metabolism can all be affected.
Safe & Stable Through Endocrine Therapy is a 3-month program for women on endocrine therapy — regardless of whether you are taking tamoxifen or an aromatase inhibitor, or additionally receiving medication to suppress ovarian function.
We address the symptoms that are affecting you now — while also keeping an eye on your long-term health: bones, muscles, metabolism, and cardiovascular health.
Unlike Focused Consultations, which usually address a specific stage of treatment, Treatment Support is designed to provide ongoing support over a longer period. We start with a comprehensive initial consultation, followed by regular appointments tailored to where you are in your treatment. Where appropriate, we can also use additional assessments such as BIA to monitor your muscle mass over time.
Throughout our work together, I look at the bigger picture and adapt your support as your needs and treatment change. My recommendations are guided by your symptoms, your treatment, and — where relevant — your diagnostic results.

A Focused Consultation is designed around a specific stage of your treatment — whether chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, or endocrine therapy. Together, we look at how best to prepare, what side effects you may experience, and what you can do to prevent or manage them.

Abhyanga is a traditional Ayurvedic full-body oil massage — and much more than a wellness treatment. The warm oil deeply nourishes the skin, while slow, rhythmic massage strokes help the body relax and unwind. Many of my patients tell me they feel noticeably calmer afterwards and sleep particularly well that night.
I also work with selected marma points — specific points on the body that play an important role in Ayurveda and share some similarities with acupressure points in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Working with these points can deepen the sense of relaxation during the massage.
Before your appointment, we will discuss whether the massage is appropriate for you at your current stage of treatment and whether any adjustments are needed.

The appointment with Carmen was very professional and warm. She was exceptionally well prepared and took wonderful care of me during the treatment, responded to all my needs, and took a great deal of time. A truly unique experience! Thank you so much, dear Carmen, I will be back.
Carmen has supported me since shortly after my diagnosis and has been, and continues to be, an important pillar for me throughout this whole time. Her consultations and treatments have helped me face the time of treatment with mental and physical strength and to hold on to my confidence. Muchísimas gracias, Carmen!
Thank you so much for being there. You are such a wonderful person, and I am so happy our paths crossed, even if the circumstances could have been better. What you have built is incredibly helpful and valuable to me. I have gained a different perspective on things and also learned, for myself, to say a clear stop, to see things differently, to notice more consciously, and to be grateful even for the small things. Thank you so much for your wonderful support and for accompanying me. I am truly so glad my path led me to you.
As a breast cancer patient looking for comprehensive support, Frau Mamma’s offering appealed to me a great deal. Finding an appointment was quick and uncomplicated. In the bright, welcoming atmosphere of the practice, like an oasis, I was warmly welcomed by Carmen. In a very attentive, caring, and empathetic way, she offered me evidence-based, supportive options and help for physical and emotional strengthening, and gave me individual guidance on my lab values. Appreciative and encouraging, she listened openly to my concerns and gave me a sense of security through the demanding phases of treatment (chemo, surgery, radiation). I was also able to incorporate Ayurvedic elements as self-care, and the oil massages offered were a soothing addition. I am now in follow-up and continue to greatly value this support. I can only warmly recommend this offering, and I want to say a heartfelt thank-you here.
Carmen has been supporting me since November, shortly after my diagnosis. From the very beginning, she gave me a sense of security and provided me with many recommendations that supported me — and continue to support me — during my radiation therapy and now also in my medication-based treatment. Based on my lab results, she advises me individually on possible accompanying measures and takes the time for my questions. I feel very well advised professionally with her, but also strengthened on a human and emotional level. What is especially valuable to me is that she does not just look at the lab values, but at you as a whole person. Through her support, I have been able to make many decisions with more confidence and feel considerably better equipped to face the challenges of my treatment. Her empathetic manner and whole-person perspective are a great support to me. I am very grateful for that.
We start with a free, no-obligation introductory call. If we decide to work together, you will receive a detailed intake questionnaire. You can also send me any recent lab results, medical reports, and information about your current treatment in advance.
Your first appointment is a 90-minute consultation where we take a closer look at your situation and decide which areas to focus on first.
That depends on your individual situation. We often meet more frequently at the beginning and gradually space appointments further apart. How often we meet and which assessments are useful will depend on your symptoms, your current treatment, and what we are working on together. If laboratory testing is useful, we will plan it at the appropriate point.
Yes. Some of the laboratories I work with can send the necessary collection tubes directly to you. You can then have your blood drawn locally, for example at a doctor’s office or a complementary medicine practice near you. The samples are returned according to the laboratory’s instructions. I receive the results and we go through them together.
Yes. Consultations and follow-up appointments can easily take place online via Zoom, and laboratory testing can often be arranged remotely as well. Some assessments and treatments do require an in-person appointment, so we will discuss what is possible in your individual case.
Yes. Especially during ongoing treatment, questions often come up between appointments. That is why I offer WhatsApp support for brief questions.
For urgent medical concerns, however, please contact your oncology team, the medical on-call service, or emergency services.
No. My work complements your cancer treatment; it does not replace it. I always take your current treatment into account and check my recommendations for possible interactions and contraindications. If appropriate, and with your consent, I can also coordinate directly with your treatment team.
No, you can contact me directly.

That is exactly what the free introductory call is for: to find out, with no obligation, whether my approach and the support I offer are right for you. After that, you can decide from one appointment to the next whether and how you would like to continue.
